On December 5, 2013 (a day that may live in infamy), the US House of Representatives passed the Gallows LAtch Door Drop Act For Independent Inventors (GLAD DAFii) -otherwise mislabeled by them as the H.R. 3309: Goodlatte Innovation Act of 2013.
